Just A Few Cans and Bottles

In a little more than just a month we will be trying to touch the lives of as many kids as we can with Project Hope.  We will be giving away school supplies, new athletic shoes, hair cuts and backpacks.  We are hoping that as many as 10,000 kids will get at least one or maybe all of these items.  Most of these kids will be kids who, if they don’t get some of these things given to them, they will not have all they need to be properly outfitted to go back to school.  We could go on for a long time about how kids who feel good about themselves and who have the a strong self-esteem do better in school than those who don’t feel good about being among peers each day.  But since we don’t have that much time, lets just say that we want kids to be totally prepared in body and mind to go to class each day.

So what does all of this have to do with cans and bottles you ask?  Well here you go…..Project Hope is collecting cans and bottles with every penny of the profits going towards new backpacks.  That is a really good idea you say, but you also might be reading and thinking …… how many backpacks can you get with a few cans and bottles?  Well just today the Coke and Pepsi holders that were turned in were enough to purchase 27 more backpacks.  So you see, each beverage container we get really can help out the children of the Lane County area.

So bring them in.  Call and have us pick them up.  Pack up your car, your truck, your SUV, your bike, your motorcycle, your…..OK you get it.  We want your cans and bottles, we want to help many, many kids with your many, many bottles!!
